Aikido is the Japanese martial art founded
by Morihei Ueshiba O'Sensei. It is known for it's flowing
movement and martial effectiveness.
Aikido techniques are taught to law enforcement as the basis of their arrest and
control techniques.

Aikido founder, Morihei Ueshiba O'Sensei (1883-1969)
"True budo (martial way) is the
loving protection of all beings with a spirit of reconciliation. Reconciliation means to allow the
completion of everyone's mission."
"The 'Way'
(do, Japanese)
means to be one with the will of God and practice it.
If we are even slightly apart from it, it is no longer the
Way."

"Without budo a
nation goes to ruin,
because budo is the life of loving protection . . ."
"I want considerate
people to listen to the voice of Aikido.
It is not for correcting others; it is for correcting your own
mind.
This is Aikido."
-Morihei
Ueshiba O'Sensei
